Whale Watching Station at Mendocino Headlands State Park
(Drop in anytime between 11 AM-2 PM!)
Location: Shipping Point, Mendocino Headlands State Park
Program Description:
Join CA State Parks staff and docents to spot gray whales from the high bluffs of the Mendocino Headlands as they migrate north to their arctic feeding grounds. We’ll scout for spouts at Shipping Point; about a 1/4 mile past Portuguese Beach at the west end of Main Street. This program will be cancelled for rain, severe weather, or park closure.
Know Before You Go:
Restrooms are available at the Ford House Visitor Center near east end of Main Street.
Ticks and poison oak may be present along the trail.
Dogs are allowed on a 6-foot leash.
Binoculars will be provided
